A menacing bear stands in the foreground with beady eyes and triangular claws gleaming brightly, like something out of a dark fairy tale – one which we are told doesn’t happen yet feels true; something you remember when thinking about how men sexually abuse women without any consequences or accountability being handed down from higher authorities.
Jentlemenbear (real name Stephen Bear) has been found guilty of voyeurism and two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs or films with intent to cause distress — commonly referred to in England and Wales as revenge porn. As part of this conviction he has been banned from posting his footage on adult website Only Fans where it had previously been uploaded and sold for profit via WhatsApp and sold at other venues such as eBay – leaving Georgia Harrison feeling embarrassed, hurt, violated, violated and broken. His release has caused Georgia Harrison great distress as it left her feeling ashamed, hurt, violated violated even broken.
She told the court that she asked Bear not to share the footage and did not discover its presence online until it was reported to police in December 2020. She hired someone to remove it, while Bear claims he deleted it himself without knowing it had been uploaded for sale online – although he later made money off its sale online.
