A 14-year-old girl used hidden cameras to record evidence that her father was abusing her, leading to successful prosecution. Unfortunately, other cases haven’t had such luck: Forbes recently reviewed a federal child exploitation case in which Amazon and eBay-sold spy cameras were accused of filming children engaging in intimate acts within bedrooms or bathrooms.
Hidden cameras are typically easy to conceal: They can be concealed within everyday household and office objects like hair ties, USB chargers or even teddy bears – some models even use electricity directly as power source to stay on 24 hours per day!
Some devices can record HD video and audio with sound quality equaling traditional cameras; others even support voice activation!
While special handheld devices exist for detecting spy cameras, Victor used his phone instead. But this technique only worked when connected to Wi-Fi signals; otherwise, false alarms could occur.
