Royalties are payments received by individuals or companies for using intellectual property owned by them, typically as a percentage of overall sales. Royalty payments can be received by authors, musicians and patent holders among other uses – providing steady streams of income which do not depend on market fluctuations or interest rates. Royalties offer investors another source of potential returns.
As one might imagine, being a royal is no simple feat. On top of balancing work and family commitments, they must abide by many unofficial guidelines related to food intake as well as people they should avoid – such as which foods they can and cannot consume and whom to avoid.
Although most rules for royals are just polite, others are more serious. For instance, it’s essential that royals avoid revealing too much skin; the Duchess of Cambridge has had trouble with this on multiple occasions; an incident caused her to expose too much flesh due to a wardrobe malfunction when the wind blew her dress up and revealed both cleavage and breasts in front of onlookers.
Royals must abide by another rule when it comes to wearing fur; something both the queen and Camilla have broken countless times by even donning coats made from fox fur! Since then, however, faux fur has been adopted instead for royals’ attire.
