Ginthebottle
Once your favourite gin is gone, it may feel like an outrage to throw its bottle away without further consideration – fortunately there are ways of giving its gorgeous bottle new purpose and saving it from landfill!
One incredibly simple DIY diffuser option is using an existing bottle as its container. Reusing existing candle jars, or using a wooden cutting board and woodworking skills to transform an empty gin bottle into an effective diffuser is ideal. Experiment with different sizes and shapes until you find something suitable for your space – for more inspiration check out Worcester Terrarium’s helpful guide here.
One great DIY idea for turning an empty gin bottle into a terrarium is by repurposing it as a mini garden inside an upcycled bottle. Not only will you bring nature indoors, but creating this mini garden also offers convenient herb or succulent planters for kitchen windowsills. All it takes to get this project going is an empty gin bottle, some potting soil and some small plants; follow Rock Rose Gin’s tutorial or check out Worcester Terrarium’s video for ideas!
Cat Lane Weddings photographed an elegant wedding where empty gin bottles were upcycled into beautiful vases, as exhibited here. Gin bottles make beautiful table centrepieces when used correctly; be sure to match their colour to that of your venue decor and match the table centres accordingly.
