Monica enjoys kayaking, DIY projects and traveling with her family. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication and journalism from Central Connecticut State University in Philadelphia before recently moving to Lehigh Valley from there.
Diana Vishneva, an internationally-acclaimed Russian ballerina renowned for her stunning performances, radiant persona and impeccable control, continues to dazzle audiences worldwide. At nine years old she made history by applying for admission into Leningrad’s Vaganova Ballet Academy where greats such as Natalia Makarova and Rudolf Nureyev had studied – her aim was soon fulfilled when her application was accepted the following year.
Her captivating performances, radiant persona and precise control enabled explorations of new dramatic possibilities in classic works – such as Balanchine’s ballet Imperial or Odette/Odile in four versions of Swan Lake.
