Beginning cute and innocently enough, DoGo and her adventures echoing those of classic Christmas tales such as that of Santa Claus. However, towards the middle of the book it becomes darker as DoGo finds herself being pulled through a portal alongside other partially destroyed toys which may frighten younger readers because they appear like zombies lined up against a wall.

Unfortunately this Bobo And Coco tale wasn’t my cup of tea; there are numerous inconsistencies in both plot and illustration which caused major dissonance between their sweet characters and those featured in other more engaging books available for children to choose from. Though this book could make an excellent addition to any child’s library with further editing before publication.
