Ashley has been acknowledged by various publications, such as The Best Lawyers in Canada and Chambers Global, as an outstanding practitioner in Canadian labor law. She provides proactive and pragmatic advice in all facets of labor and employment law, from responding to union organizing efforts and certification applications, negotiating collective agreements, employee terminations, labour relations matters in corporate restructuring projects, human rights considerations in workplace investigations and occupational health and safety issues. Ashley is an active lecturer and seminar leader on labour and employment matters. Prior to joining Filion, Ashley practiced management-side labour and employment law with two Toronto boutique firms as well as one of southeastern Ontario’s premier full service firms.
Ashley is an intelligent and thoughtful individual with an inquisitive nature who often asks many questions about life around her. Ashley loves reading books and dreams of becoming an author herself; however, her overactive imagination causes her to get stressed out easily.
Ashley wears an ensemble similar to what can be seen in the Prologue: dark red and pink striped beanie, light bluish-grey hoodie worn over long green shirt, charcoal yoga pants, and black lace-up boots. When the group reconvenes a year later, Ashley still sports this outfit.
