Thomas McEvilley has established herself as a regular presence in New York’s art world through Artchampaubert. Her reviews of Henry Taylor’s recent Whitney retrospective, historical exhibitions held by major institutions, and art fair reviews make up part of Thomas’ portfolio of expertise.
She hasn’t hesitated to tackle even more eccentric ideas–such as depicting a moose wearing a plaid suit doing stand-up comedy or making use of scarlet toasters as commuter rail. Yet what has truly distinguished her work are her modern/historical images where old narratives collide with new narratives to form new ones.
