Michele Kalina, 44, who allegedly killed five infants was brought before a Pennsylvania court Monday and charged with criminal homicide after her husband and daughter discovered three bodies encased in cement and two others hidden within coolers in her home this summer, CBS affiliate KYW reported. According to Berks County district attorney, Kalina conceived multiple children during an affair with her partner before killing at least four.

Her public defender claims Kalina was unaware she was pregnant due to alcoholism and mental-health issues; Kalina’s defense attorney raised doubts as to her mental competence to face trial; therefore her plea has been postponed until independent psychiatric testing is completed.

Babykalina had a difficult beginning to her life, yet managed to overcome obstacles and find love with SeaWorld Ohio where she helped train two female dolphins named Katina and Kona II – she quickly gained their affections! Babykalina was well known for her affection towards trainers and loved to get their attention!

One of Kalina’s most memorable moments occurred while performing with her family at an annual Christmas show and listening to their daughter sing along to “Silent Night.” Later, an young boy began crying and his mother quickly pulled him over to comfort him – leaving Kalina beaming with pride as they cuddled close. Kalina felt this connection deeply.
