The Safina is a newly discovered 7th and 8th century Islamic manuscript from Tabriz that contains 209 eclectic articles on topics ranging from astronomy to philosophy. One particularly intriguing aspect is that many articles include debates between inanimate objects; these debates include aesthetic as well as moral, philosophical and spiritual debates.

Ebtekar’s journeys involve artistic as well as intellectualized meanderings that cross time and space in various directions.
